Looked, cant find it. Mine has packed in. I find I need two deph sounders. Some times one gets a better reading, some times the other. Yep I presume I can wire up the Garmin for depth, but thats just another job and besides, I use the Garmin thing for close pilot work. Cant be arsed going to different screens.

The Rathion runs the big screen and the auto pilot, oh and radar as well. A bit old. The Garmin runs the close up stuff. So I just need another option to show depth. The old navman used to do it.

There probably is Hayden but more to the point are there any fish left to find ??

Sorry, can't help on the Navman thing.
But I also have two transducers/sounders, and I found out that they're more reliable when set to work on different frequencies (one on 50hz and the other on 200hz).
I suspect that, even if they're separated by a big keel, sometimes they interfere each other when set on the same frequency.
Just thought you might wish to give that a try.

Taken over by Northstar I believe so all new stuff is so branded. You may be able to find some stockists still carrying some unsold Navman fishfinders though, try Google or E-Bay.

Yep, re-branded as Northstar, which is now being discontinued as a brand itself. For that reason there are some great deals around on Northstar stuff, just need to check compatibility.

So, why did they buy them?

Haydn, try here.

Bottom left of this page, they call the fishfinders 'legacy' products and when you click them they are discontinued.

As others have said, Navman as a marine brand has disappeared: the full story is complicated and pretty irrelevant: but essentially Navico bought the marine side of the Navman business, leaving Navman with the land side. Navman kept the name, so Navico had to rename it --- which they did by badging Navman products as one of their other brands (Northstar)

Now, it looks as though they have decided that having so many brands is just too complicated, so they have decided to drop Northstar.

But bear in mind that Navman marine was very closely tied to Navimo long before it had anything to do with Navico. So have a look at Plastimo's "Advansea" range: you might be surprised! (or not!)
