Not sure what is happening in the Solent but several items seem to have been hit lately.
Saw Air Canada with a big dent in it and the top mark all bent.
Then this has happened to the Bramble Poat:
We regret that data from Bramblemet is currently unavailable.
This is due to serious damage to the weather station and solar panels caused by an unidentified vessel (In all likelihood a sailing yacht). Repairs are likely to be lengthy and very expensive, although it remains our intention that they will be undertaken as soon as possible.
All vessels are reminded of their obligation to report any navigational incidents in the Port of Southampton to the Harbour Master. Had this happened in this case, temporary repairs may have been possible before the Round the Island Race.
And now just passed South Bramble and it looks like this:
