Is there a European equivalent of the Cabo Rico 34?

Ive decided what my next boat should be and its a Cabo Rico 34. The trouble is there are none for sale in Europe and Im assuming it doesnt make financial sense to import a £50k boat from the US? The key criteria for me are....

Cost not much more than £50k
Have fore and aft double cabins
Easy to sail single handed / no more than 38 feet
Good sailing performance. SA/disp circa 19/20
Traditional looks with high quality fitout throughout
Shallow draft circa 1.5 metres
Suitable for extended cruising / offshore sailing

Ive looked at the vancouver 36 but its not as quick as the cabo, rustler 36 but the aft berth isnt really a double, oyster heritage 37 but again the aft berth is very tight and the Starlight 35 which is a bit too AWB in my eyes. The Island Packet 35 while ticking a lot of boxes is too much much of a motor sailor for me.

For those not familiar with the Cabo Rico 34 here is a link

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

PS Im aware of the Cabo Rico 38 for sale here but im not ready to upgrade just yet

That style of boat was never popular in Europe so doubt you will find an equivalent. The boats that fit your spec (approximately) tended to be centre cockpit aft cabin boats such as Moodys and Westerlys, but they came after long keels had fallen out of favour.

Good choice of Moody 37/376 which apart from long keel meets all your requirements if you get one with a Scheel keel. Very capable offshore cruising boat but like all 25 year or more old sub £50k boats of that size are likely to be well worn. Potentially good one with Schmidts in Hamble Point that could be bought and updated in that budget.

Look also at Contest 36 (aft cockpit) but usually over that budget, Victoria 34 (but small aft berth) and HR 352 with proper aft cabin, but better for small people. Realistically though, getting what you want in a boat that size (even ignoring the long keel bit)
is very difficult without going centre cockpit.

Have a look at the Vancouver PH34. There are two double cabins although one is midships rather than aft. http://jryachts.blogspot.fr/2012/09/vancouver-34-pilot-for-sale.html

That is a very interesting question as I had a similar requirement for myself and ended up buying a Contest 36.

I did also have a look at the Cabo 38 in Gosport - it's a nice boat.

I know the family who used to import them in the states.

(The Vancouver Pilot House mentioned above has now sold by the way)

However this might fit the bill - just reduced to within your budget too.

Well constructed with two good sized private double cabins plus a lifting keel.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have considered most of these with the exception of the hood which i havent seen before. I guess i was hoping there was something like the cabo built by a european builder that i hadnt come across. I'm not ready to trade up just yet so will keep an eye out although i will probably end up with one of those suggested here!
