Further point on this thread.
I am rebuilding a 4108 from 2 donor engines. One has the oil pump and one has not. In the boat I have to access many important bits like the HP fuel pump from above and to the rear of the engine. Dispensing with the oil cooler would greatly improve access to that area. So possibly I will leave the cooler off.
