Anything planned anybody ?
Have still got some diesel in tank demanding to be used.Criminal shame to waste this late sunshine.
Might go up to Maidstone this weekend and the club still has its somewhat premature "Xmas Cruise" to do in mid November.
Comments about anything welcome. :)

Off from today up the Thames Hurley to Abingdon and back, 12 days planned. Trip down to Hampton Court in mid October if can arrange to meet friends. Weather too good to finish season yet, also hope to get some sailing in on the Walton Backwaters, and am looking to find a local club to join for some winter dinghy reservoir type sailing. Joys of semi retirement!

We are planning to keep using the river for as long as possible. Rain, snow, sleet are all acceptable. It's only floods that will stop us. We're even taking the boat to The Great House at Christmas.

Smashing little active sailing club just upstream of Cleve Lock check it out as you pass. They seem to have a VERY busy youngsters section too.

i am going to see what boating on the Broads is like this weekend - may even look at some boats ! :D

After yesterdays meeting at Reading I need some relaxation therapy away from the Thames and it will be interesting to see how the Broads Authority manage things!

Having a look today at the Trent waterway system at Peterborough. This links Lake Ontario with Georgia Bay in Canada, and is a 400km canal. The thought of navigating a decent sized canal then through through Lake Simcoe makes for varied boating.

Going to Brundall??? ha ha ha

H,mmm. We were up at NYA Brundall looking at well scruffy Fairline a week or two ago and went into the pub by the Broom yard.
Grub was alright suppose if you like eating in a rather damp dilapidated dispiriting building
Reminded me of some of the pubs near caravan parks on the Isle of Sheppey.

So are you just trying to drain your tanks before you buy that P35? :)

H,mm.Sum total of boat buying execise.
About 500 miles and one tired old P35 that has been ashore for ages....buyer is in no hurry to accept offers sez broker..
A Brava 37 with an interior so badly worn it makes you weep.

A rather nice 36 Sedan at the right money and condition.
Maybe have look at a T36 or two ?
A single prospective buyer for my boat who really seemed totally over whelmed by the size of boat he had come to look at
Boat hunting is now on indefinite hold. :)

Oh dear sorry to hear that! There is a P35 in Plymouth, mayflower marina, looks tidy from the pics and its under 50k!
but I know it's hard selling your own boat at the moment.

Saw that one, its just that its blimming miles away. Would need to be included in some sort round trip to see others involving that scary trip outside M25.

We've been in there too and of the same opinion! Bought our P415 from NYA so had a few trips up there! Almost as bad as driving to Essex Boat Yard today! :-)
