A nice website about a world trip bogged down by repeated delays. Now, his swmbo has departed so another reason not to go. BUT, surely the funds will now stretch further? And,an excellenet way to find a yot-mad world-travelling soulmate would possibly be out in antibes or canaries or caribee? Not here? Anyway, it would seem a jolly good idea to bimble down to the med soonish, and then to canaries over summer, and hang about to hitch over with the ARC.

It has to happen this month.

I've sold most of my property and that nice Mr Brown will want his share of the capital gain if I stay. What makes you think I wanna give my money to that twat?

So I am outta here before 4th April to avoid CGT liability. My accountant is worth every penny I've paid him. Thanks Steve.

Have to admit that I am terrfied because now I'm single handed, I realise I don't have enough experience (nor did Chay Blythe), it takes guts to break the umbilical cord (friends, the known & unknown) etc etc.

Outgoing South African property tycoon. Seeks blonde deckhand, must be lively and good cook with ability to take the helm. Willingness to play rent owing tenant to my evil landlord, a bonus. GSOH OHAC ALA VAT. SWMBO need not apply

Funloving footloose bloke with boat needs female deckhand/cook for med then carribean cruise, and you know, obviously ahem, i mean why are you reading this unless you're at a loose end or a bit desperate too, or at least considering dumping the loser you're with at the moment who won't notice if you clear off until he gets back from blimmin golf? So, turn off the oven and immediately email
stingo@ etc etc.

Oh, a Golden Question for is she is a decent cook is "what ingredients do you need to make raspberry coulis?" and the answer is caster sugar to sweeten and lemon juice to sharpen plus of course raspberries.

Re: sb\'s mum

she is actually very good. my old man has a nose for wine, so invites to their dinner parties are much sought after.

read your article, actually bought the mag too. i am most upset you went to the IPC editorial team to ask for advice on what to write about boats, when there is a deep well of ignorance here to exploit. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Sound Advice for Stingo

Grab Sailbad, mug him, drug him, get him aboard, cast off.
Perfect Solution - you gets a sailmate - he gets a reprieve.

Re: Sound Advice for Stingo

Yeh, great idea and we'd have something to talk about; the ex-SWMBO's (besides boats and you lot on the forum)

Only problem is .. he's only good at drinking ... you'd be better off getting someone with skills that complement rather than duplicate your own /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Sound Advice for Stingo

but tcm says there are plenty of cruising types south of here. Why worry about Mrs s2b?

Re: It won\'t work

Well spotted claymore. Come to think of it, there was a thread a while back and I thought exactly the same.

Sailbad, your mates on the forum wish to advise you not to go ahead with Mrs s2b, but rather go sailing and enjoy your life.
