Just checked my bank balance. It never seems to get much above "0" like the temperature in Burgundy today

Once aboard again the sun makes even the most challenging life style seem worthwhile.

If i had money how would it help?I might even being to eat bad fast food or in even more expensive restaurants, where presentation & flavor are everything thus salt sugar glutomate in fact anythings used that add to the appeal of the dish!

Id drink expensive wines that are heavier than our simple contry wines. What else is money useful for??

In France life is relaxed a bit less today but still relaxed.

Every year the capitanerie for the economically challenged presents us all with new year challenge! A demand for money!!Every year at the end of January when the mistrals howling & where watching someones wind speed indicator one of the port staff will come round stop by my boat look at my lines & remind me i havent paid. Then look out to sea the grey& white sea pounding against the wall

I go along to the office & say i havent got any money,& show the the few coppers i have, not enough.I give them a cheque which seems to satisfy.I hope they wont one day want money

If i had money how would i ever decided what to cook??Without, everyday a trip to the market finds different things left over and a different menu for that day

If i had money how would i decide what to wear?Without woman decide or others that are giveing away things theve tiered of without money theres always change surprise & a benifit to the enviroment in recycling

Now im going to change the oil in "madams" car before bakeing a bread & trying her wine!

If it wenrnt so cold hear life would be wonderful & with a boat once she tiered of me & im back aboard every day becomes a new challenge in another anchorage & another town. With money i wouldent need to move i could stay the whole year in the same port.Better that someone else can benifit some one with money

OK

You've convinced me. I'm going to give away all my money & possessions and come and live on your boat. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey Trouville - enjoyed lots of your posts. Boat lives in Burgundy and will be retiring to Bandol in less than a year. Cruising this August - any chance of sharing a bottle?

I dident write my post as i intended,i was frozen!!

I stopped to try local products then couldent get back to this forum to edit!!!
This forums often blocked or posts just dont "stick"i was so annoyed i took a glass!

As your Italian & will be in bandol ive no doubt our bows will near enough to try a glass or two Italian family produced wine which is excellent! As are the fruit and conserves.

I have local Elba produced wine aboard to try.And a questions about Livorno today.I paid the full price to eat! even though ive eaten there very often on my visits and sat at the table for those that eat at lunch

From June im off to Sète ill be there & near with others from our Economically challenged group until June 09

The economic challenge will be harder than ever as prices rise & local people become challenged to the point that they provide competition after the market

For the moment im having great difficulty giving away a perfectly good sail boat i will never understand,The economicaly challenged are misunderstood

yes!If i had a bit more it would lubricate the wheels,i would buy a new laptop, another boat(a replacement for this)& a new pair of Docksiders & now a new fridge! No more secondhand ones!!

The boats is a wooden FB 1947 classic in good condition stuck in Stockholm!Eventually ill try to sell her but i so dislike that area every time it comes to mind i pour another glass or become very busy with the list that needs doing I bought her from a spic--spanish person

In the med shes ideal large cockpit comfortable below In the north its a disaster cold damp cramped. When i bought her she need a lot of work which is all but done

It cost me my IF and a lot of money not to mention my IBM which sank.I think it was last year Steller & i set off It started raining around Avignon in May & dident stop untill we got bact in October.Perhaps the most dismal journey ever

In Poland which im pleased to say took far to long to cross, becouse i had to photograph canal river guides then navigate from the SD card in my PDA.

Stella wanted to get the FB i wanted to enjoy Poland!Almost no tourist boats inland its a contry changeing very fast,id rather they all drank a bit more local brew and slow down a bit!

We visited the Baltic states not wishing to cross all new!!there there arnt many rocks just shallows & swamps great for mosquitoes we well I quite liked Estonia i still use a sim card from there which costs less to use in France than a French one!!I was boarded comeing into Navra-Joesuu !!Was a great experience

Finaly the IFs end came when a mud bank hit us at a good 4/5 Knots!a few days later on the way to ventpils we were still in Estonia we lost the IF & trained back.

Its amazing what force a a mud bank travelling at 4 Knots can exert i flew off my "bridge deck and the vodka id been given to try landed on the forward berth!!(undamaged)

Ive been forbidden to try again!Ive also been "organised" for the comeing year from June on

Would be nice to sell her but i just cant see it happening.
