Is outdoor storage OK for an inflatable?

Hi

I have a 15' Aquajeep, a 4 berth caravan, 2 trailers and my motor parked in front of my house. Not much space left!

The Aquajeep has a 50HP yam 2 stroke on it. That's OK for tearing around inshore at the mouth of the Tees trying to find the mackerel, (a 4-6HP lawnmower engine is certainly not a good idea out there), the boat just doesn't work with less than 40HP.

Trouble is the 50HP Yam charges me £40 in gas for a piking trip up the Tees. Definitely not a good idea. So I bought a 10' semi-rigid inflatable and a 4HP motor for the river.

There isn't enough room in my garage to store it and I don't want to keep deflating and inflating it. It's also impractical to lug it from my back garden to the front of my house as it's only just a one man lift and the access is narrow and very difficult to negotiate when exercising the kind of care that an inflatable needs.

The Aquajeep is protected by a tarp and the blown-up inflatable would sit perfectly on top of it. The inflatable would be protected by a second tarp which would then protect both.

Is there a danger that winter frosts would damage an inflatable stored outside in this manner?

Thanks.

The biggest enemy of inflatables is UV so covered by a tarp is fine. If storing for any length of time it's best to lightly inflate but winter frost should not hurt it.
