Re: tell us more, alex

Altho there are lots of people with lots of boats on this BB, I'm not sure if there are a representative sample of sunseeker superhawk 50 mk 1 and mk 2 owners whom you could "poll", so to speak.

Could you give details of the differences - is it just the age that explains the 130k difference?

And what have you got now? Do tell.

Oh, and welcome!

Re: tell us more, alex

The superhawk 50 mk2 has fantastic shape and is just like the 48 but with a price tag of £315,000 exc VAT its alot other differences are

Mk1 has backward facing radar arch
Mk2 has only one cabin Mk1 has two
Mk1 has larger fuel capacity and is on surface drives
Mk2 is on surface drives as well
Mk1 is very hard to find

there are the other differences
At the moment we own a Sunseeker thunderhawk 43 and keep it in S.France to be precise Port Grimaud.

can do you a better price than that

Alex it's a bit cheaper than that. The 50 superhawk with triple 420hps (the only 'gine option) and surface drives is only £265k + VAT new. Absolute bargain IMHO, 62knots, though a bit of a toy, one cabin as you say.

I spect the fact is that they simply built very few 50 Mk1s, praps as few as a dozen, so they will be rare for that reason. The 48 was much more common

Maybe talk to brokers, see if any coming onto the market. I would definitely hold out for one (rahter than get more common 48) if there's any chance of one becoming available. Triple surface drives must be fabulous
