I am sitting here floored with a nasty cold, watching across my play waters (Kyles of Bute) counting down till lanching (4 weeks tomorrow) itching to get out there. Noticed a miss-post yesterday entitled "Cabin Fever" which I reckon just about sums it up.
Make a special effort to look out for us. Rebel launched tuesday 6th from Dumbarton. Hope to be in Rothesay Friday or Saturday night then up the Kyle to mooring at Kames.....
Let me know when you will be passing Toward Point and I will try and get a snap of you. Will e-mail my mobile No, you lucky *@%$, four week start on me, If I didn,t have this horrible cold I would get my drysuit on and get out in my Laser
Friday 13.39, Strong, occasional NW squalls coming down the Kyles, Wrap up and batton down, then again after seeing the pics under "Heavy seas" post its like a mill pond (relatively)!
I was thinking the very same myself, earlier today. A lot of people getting tetchy about things. It must be the frustration caused by insufficient sailing, and hoping the boat would be fully ready by now, but realising there is still work left to be done.
Only 3 weeks until Easter, though!
<hr width=100% size=1>I'm average size, Its just that everybody else is short.
Ah,
You need a drysuit with latex socks and a good diving thinsulate, also got a nice pair of neoprene gloves from Splashsports in Glasgow and a wee neoprene bunnet.
Some of the most exhilarating sailing is to be had during the winter and there are an awfy lot of nice days. I was last out two weekends ago and it was bright sun and a steady F3-4 all day. Quite flat too as the wind was blowing off Cowal to the North
Frankly I get too hot and a ducking is pleasant relief
Buy you a pint at Kames sometime
