Hope some one can help please
I have just removed the water heat exchanger on my Thornycroft T80 engine.
The bolts holding it on to the cylinder are M8 x 120mm hex head self colour 8.8

Question is this:- Im having real trouble getting them in self colour - I can only find zinc plated bolts - will it be ok to use them please?

Thanks

John

Well, he's worried about using stainless because of introducing a new metal into the equation. Currently cast and mild steel. Suggested, cast and stainless. Proposal, cast, mild steel coated with zinc which will undoubtedly be damaged in the assembly. But hey, I'm not an engineer so feel free to correct me. :)
