New to this wooden boat thing so please be nice to me as this will probably be the first of many questions. I have just purchased a 14ft clinker built boat. It was suggested that she may be a Lyminton Pram. She has a centre plate, appears to have no seating (could have been removed). The mast is about 20 feet high, very small jib, large main on boom reefing. The mast goes through a hole in the foredeck. I believe that she used to have canvas decks. Does this ring any bells with anybody ?? As always, any help much appreciated. Happy to post a piccie if anybody knows how

Hi Ecosse120.
I maybe can't help with your request about your Lyminton Pram. But now you have joined Photo bucket. You can rotate the pics so they are up the right way, But more importantly DON'T be tempted to follow up any offers that pop up on PB "You will be inundated with the most obnoxious SPAM emails for months". Other than that PB is great and easy to do. copy & past works a treat. Your albums can hold 100s of pics, make sure you have a log in and get them to email you the reference so as to be able to copy and past it when you log in easer than remembering it.
Cheers David.
Just looked at your pics She looks a fine craft you should get lots of help from here.

Don't think it is a Lymington Scow, as that is 11ft and gunter rigged. They are still built by John Claridge www.johnclaridgeboats.com for info and piccys

Style is however similar, but dozens of this sort of boat were built around the coast up to the 1960's usually to local designs for clubs. Have a look for a builders plate - usually a small brass casting inside the transom.

Good luck
