I have been looking at a CONTEST 30 (Conyplex) from 1969 that looks very nice, but I have been unable to find anyone who knows anything about the boat.
I know the following: this model (MK1) was built between 1968-1970 in 1971 the MK2 came whit another superstructure on but under the waterline it is the same.
The boat was designed by U. van Essen, and it has a modified fin keel and a skeg hung rudder.
When Sailing Today did a used boat test on the Golden Hind they said the Contest 30 was an alternative to the GH. Could that mean that the Contest 30 also is a little “Blue Water” boat?
Is it a good boat?
Does anyone know?
