That proves you a dumbass. Who needs exercise at my time of life! And if you think you are going below to do navigation in those dripping oilies wrecking the velour, think again.
I have the Chartplotter and Radar on the binnacle with all the other instruments. My willing crew supply me with food and drink, and once an hour one of thems goes below to plot on the paper chart and fill in the log.
As I said, no need for a YM on the foredeck.
In fact, barring hoisting or lowering the snuffed chute, no need for a foredeck at all, although I usually go forward for this job.

I'll ave you know I'm not a thickie. I've been out buying stuff already for the course and saved a few bob using ebay too where I managed to pick up this excellent condition second hand pair of dividers.
