Hi,
I am looking to buy our first sports boat. It's a Fletcher Arrowsport 155, built in 1988. I think the engine is the one that came with it, a Suzuki DT85. I have been to see it, but it's on a trailer. It was in excellent condition for its age and the sellers ran the engine with a hose pipe feeding water into the water inlet. Again, this started from cold fine and throttled up fine and in reverse. The bilge pump works as well as the tip/tilt. Now, I have been advised by somebody to test drive any boat before buying, but since it's not currently near a water way, I'm wandering whether a test-drive is really necessary with such a small boat? I'd be really grateful to hear your thoughts on this.
Many thanks in advance.
