Is a Princess 33 (non-flybridge) a good choice for the French canals?

the speed at which you drive in land water can be a problem and twins drive too cold and cause glazing of cylinders and carbon.

NBs

The upper Thames has approximately 8000 boats registered on it. Ask owners up there if bore glazing appears anywhere on their list of woes, 1% might understand what you are talking about and say No, other 99% will not even understand the question.
Not sure its a problem anymore and if it is, wether it would have any noticeable or detrimental effects on
Mr average boater. ?

I did the trip from Le Havre to Valence on the Rhone back in 2009 in a Birchwood 33 Classic with twin 120hp ford Lehmans. I took the Nivernais route and can highly recommend it. As for as having twin engines is concerned I used to alternate by running each engine for an hour or so and didn't have any problems. One thing I would recommend is having and an outside helm, I did and it makes such a difference on in the beautiful weather that you will definitely get. Take you time, don't rush it, it's the trip of a lifetime and you won't want to leave, I'm still down there and have no intention of leaving the Med.
