irish waters/river shannon

We are in Ireland this week, but unfortunately the friends we were due to see next weekend have been called away. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Do forumites know of a water based activity we could book for a couple of days eg a yacht or motorboat charter. We had thought of Cork but what is the shannon like to sail on? Any leads gratefully recieved!

Check out www.shannonsailing.com on Lough Derg. Lovely part of the country with great harbours all on the lake.
They charter a few smaller 25 to 30 footers.
Otherwise try Emerald Star for a motor cruiser.
