There are about 7 big fat yellow visitor moorings on the town (port hand) side of the river just by the tiny short stay pontoon.
Some have pick ups. some not. about half appear to be occupied by locals. Good fierce current here with appropriate flipping round on the tide.
Quite a shallow entrance with 2 bars, best done on a rising ride. Not as hairy as the pilot book suggests.
Some commercial shipping occasionally.

Worth coming in - a real town with plenty of shops and eateries.

Made very similar comments after our visit yesterday.

Is the French boat still up at the buoy furthest in? They had a bit of an epic arrival.

Also emailed chair of the local council.

The big yellow vm's are for visitors. I was circling round one off the W coast that had a local small boat on it. The boat owner whizzed out in a Rib, said nice day lads, and took his small boat away.
