I haven't given up on trying to get to Ireland this year. Last year's Summer holiday to North Wales all went wrong when we got to Milford.

Anyway, I have a question. I have just registered my boat online and paid for Part III registration (a bargain at £25.00). I was advised that I should do this if I want to take the boat to Ireland. Should I have bothered doing this at all? And is Part III OK as opposed to Part I?

Any advice is gratefully accepted.

I have been over to Ireland several times and have never been asked for any paperwork and neither have the others from the marina where I am based. I think that paperwork unpleasantness is the domain of the French!
