Ipswich Lock

If you are planning to visit Ipswich, note that although the lock is usable:

"Scheduled Lock Maintenance: The Outer West Lock Gate remains non-operational, due to a mechanical fault. This restriction reduces lock width by approximately 50%, affecting inbound and outbound movements."

Mariners are advised that a Dive Survey will be undertaken in the Ipswich Lock.
This will be undertaken between 0800 and 1700 on Friday 10th April 2026.
During this time the lock will be closed to all traffic.
A listening watch will be maintained on VHF CH68 at all times.
