Any users of the WiFI at Ipswich Haven Marina, please be aware that it is currently down and wont be available for a "week or so".

The WIFI has been pretty poor for a long time and not sized for the number of users unfortunately. Hopefully, whatever new WIFI is put in place will work adequately for all.

I will keep you updated.

Be careful with that in in the small print as tethered devices is often limited to 30gb .... So i just took the 30gb at £13 a month on 1 month contract

It's 1pence a minute to mobile phones , landlines, text, and voicemail .

Internet is 1pence a MB.

There are a few exceptions.

It's pay as you go and sim only . I only really use the web for weather forecasts and local services when cruising and it's served me well this year, particularly with VHF forecasts being a bit iffy .

That is true, but for normal internet surfing etc i doubt you'd go over 30gb. If i have any big downloads to make i do them on the phone, then copy to the laptop by USB cable. Signal strength is pretty good too, often 4G.

Edit, i also use mine for music, via the Radio Player app' on my phone, streaming it to a bluetooth soundbar. The soundbar uses about 0.3a and i get pretty much every radio station in the country, as opposed to about 5 if i use an FM radio.
