Chums Rodman with IPS ready for relaunch.
Just had phone call ,does he just clean the IPS up and simply pop back in.
Boat is polished top to bottom , all anoded up and anti-fouled .
or
Prime the things and coat with A/F,perhaps some super special IPS A/F that will not help turn the IPS into swiss cheese through electrolysis !
The IPS drives are of course bronze and presumably do not fizz away on instant contact with water like aluminium outdrives.

I think it’s advisable & there is a bulletin from Volvo for which bits to paint/not paint

I can dig it out & send if you’d like

I don't have IPS ut I have seen very good performance with Propspeed, it is quite a knack to put on and a lot of work but it lasts a couple of years.

You’ve got to paint the drives or the fouling will affect your fuel burn and speed massively . We use tri lux on ours

Interesting this, I have Zeus drives not IPS but have always been told not to anti foul. They are completely bare and to be honest I get very little fouling build up on them. My engineer uses some kind of spray wax on them which seems to work well.

As attached, similar extract as above, plus the wording from the bulletin mentioned previously
