Im stunned navionics uk and holland in the app store, can't believe it my eyes, rechecked again 0.69p is this real

Well download it and yes working a treat and yes under a quid :D

grap it will you can

£44.99 for the iPad version though, albeit in HD. Question is would the iPhone version work on an iPad? Having downloaded some Phone apps I am guessing it would but perhaps on a restricted screen size. Worth a punt for 69p though.

Update: just download the iPhone app to my iPad and as anticipated it works well but on an iPhone sized pane in the middle of the screen. Seems to be very good at first look and a bit of a bargain. Thanks for the tip.

many thanks for the heads up, been thinking for a while now must do it, but on reading 69p it was a no brainer!!

Still £25.40 on android. Does it work without a 3g connection?are all the charts downloaded to the phone?

with the "new" app you select an area to download - I guess it's because not everyone wanted 200Mb of chart data with 90% they won't use ...

Works without 3g or any mobile signal so long as you either have the GPS in the unit or a GPS feed into the unit.

Is there something siilar for a laptop?

I found it under the normal apple iPhone app, if its not there any longer then may be they have increased the price again or it was a special deal for a few days, or a completed cock up from someone in admin:confused:whoops

Downloaded the 69p app to my iPhone no problem...it looks good so far. Dowloaded to my iPad to check what it looks like but it doesn't seem to want to download the detailed map only the high level one...message displays as Requesting Map!?
Anyone had a similar issue?

Update...rebooting the IPad got the detailed maps to display. However, clicking on the picture icon for Newquay displays a picture of somewhere completely different.:rolleyes:

we used in yesterday on the boat all day and can highly recommend it, great stuff, the speed indicator is very use full more accurate that my peto speedo gauge, also used the routing which is very good, tides are accurate aswell, just wish my phone display would stop going off, for the money is my top bargain this year, Mind i did pay in april 27 for the android version:( wify does not know that yet,;):D

For those having difficulty in finding the app try going to navionics via safari and then choose the map from there. other than that im new to this phone and apple so cant help any more sorry guys.

It's a new version of the old iPhone app, but this one downloads a subset of the overall coverage area requiring Internet access for the chart area download only. The old app is better IMHO because you get the full UK/Hol/IRL charts in one go as part of the app, therefore never needing www access.
