iPad weather apps - some nice ones

Been playing with a few weather apps for iPad.

• Weather4D
• WeatherTrack
• iSailing (weatheronline)

Weather4D below can animate unto 8 days forecast. Wind, pressure, temp, precipitation, etc. Of the three its the most visual and easy to use. You can control what is displayed or overlaid, and animate the forecast patterns. It's €4.99 from app store. You can define your own weather zone rather than choose one of their popular predefined zones ( eg just UK rather than whole Atlantic or western Europe).

Weather4D on iPad

WeatherTrack uses freely available GRIB data, but I think it's pricey and a bit techie for non weather buffs, but it does have wave height and direction data. iSailing has wave data.
