Ipad camera connection kit - money saver!

I need a USB connector for my IPad and was wondering if anyone here is looking for the SD card reader that comes with it in the set. Buy a set from Apple and share the cost of £25 at £12.50 each!
On Ebay people are buying a single adapter for more than the cost of the new kit from Apple!
I hate to waste money buying things I don't need, even small amounts and I could buy a couple of gallons of red diesel with the saving!!!

A friend is looking for a USB SD Card reader, but its for a Tosh laptop not iPad, would it work with USB on a Tosh?

I don't think so Steve, these are specifically Apple gear. But a good idea of yours nevertheless.
