iOS7 - for those who need to know this

Siri has been enhanced though that may not be a big deal for many. For me the biggest changes are the ability to change system fonts, the ability to block numbers (for calls and texts) and automatic/background updating of apps. All of those should have been in there a long time ago. Another thing is a big increase in the customisation that can be done to change the look and feel of of iOS. I think they may have gone a bit too far as it's possible to make two devices iOS7 devices seem quite different to each other now. It's also starting to get a little too complicated and feature-rich; it is the simplicity despite a very adequate functionality that is one of iOS's big strengths over Android for me and it seems to have lost some of that.

The positives, apart from the three above are huge. The notification and control centre features are improved and a vast number of other have been tweaked as well. There's a sort of "go to favourites" features in maps, you can now put as many apps in a folder as you want, the annoying (to me) News app can be shoved out of the way in another folder rather than take up home screen space. Really a lot of is just small tweaks that make life easier but they've put a lot in. One thing I haven't checked as I don't use text on iOS is that a time stamp is now available on text messages. I had no idea it wasn't but that would be very important to me as I seem to be allowed a maximum of 20 minutes response time when SWMBO texts me...

Does anyone have any experience of using external Bluetooth GPS receivers with IOS7?

The type of GPS Bluetooth modules I refer to are available for about £50to £100, small with rechargable batters and current technology GPS receivers. Common models are the GNS 5870, GNS 2000 and Garmin FLO but there are many more. Connecting to one of these should give you accurate and quick GPS navigation that does not rely on phone reception.

I have read that there were some issues with IOS6 that could be overcome but the real question is whether these devices work reliably with IOS7.
