We are now based in Corfu after a great 3 seasons in Croatia, where we loved mooring at restaurants and overnighting after great meals. Any recommendations for similar restaurants in the Ionian?

How many do you want? The area is overloaded with tavernas in just about every bay and harbour. Mostly reasonable both food and prices, but fairly unsophisticated compared with northern Europe.

Assume you are based in Gouvia. Good tavernas on the main street and everybody has their favourites. I used to take a week eating at all my favourites once only!. Suggest first trip to Agni Bay. Choice of 4 from traditional Greek to type that justifies its other name of Kensington on Sea.

Main thing when choosing locations for overnight is to avoid those where Flotillas are stopping that night, but anyway in season you need to arrive early if you want to moor on the quay.

Rod Heikell Ionian Pilot a good start to get a feel for the area.

Some have - like the ones in Agni Bay I suggested. There are others in the bays going north from Agni. However, most tavernas are in towns fronting onto town quays which are public although some do have their own pontoons, for example Porto Spiglia on Meganisi and Tassias in Fiskardo.

Hi.....many thanks for your inputs. We are having a great time. Currently on Levkas having been down to Kefalonica.
Now slowly returning to Corfu visiting all our favourites from the trip down. Many thanks again.
It's a HAAARD LIFE!
