Hello,
Any1 has any advice for South Ionian Sea in October? We get the charter from Lefkas on the 10th and we are thinking go south. What's good to do in this period considering that the sailing season almost ended? Thank you :)

Well, the weather has already broken out here. Over the last three weeks we've had significant cloud about 40% of the time, and several magnificent sessions of thunderstorms.

So, don't be too ambitious with your passages unless you've seen the weather forecast! In unsettled weather there are occasional bouts of really vicious winds. Take a daily look at http://www.poseidon.hcmr.gr/weather_forecast.php?area_id=gr#selectParameter and you'll see what I mean. Some of those heavy rain sessions are accompanied by 35kt plus squalls.

Sea is warm though. Plenty of place information on my web site. About 60% of the tavernas should still be open.
