IOM Sharks

If anyone does venture up to the Isle of Man looking for Basking Sharks this is one that got a bit close for comfort!!

We sailed through a shoal of at least 20 just south of Peel. The white blobs in the picture are Jellyfish which a marine biologist has told me would have been feeding on the same food as the sharks.

Beautiful creatures when you see them coming towards you with their mouths open - like massive hoovers.
The rest of them tend to live in Douglas!

I will keep a sharp (shark) lookout as I will be in the area for a long weekend in April, starting in Conwy... really looking forward to that trip, never been to the area.
