Hello all,
I looked for an introduction section, but didn't find anything so I thought here might be okay.
So, I am 26. I live in west Essex and I come from a long line of sailors, I am the first to not join the navy and instead drive a big yellow taxi with flashy blue lights. I learnt to sail with my grandfather on the Norfolk broads on his Westerly 25 from the age of 7. After he died, I have been longing to get back on the water and learn to sail again.
I have been crewing a boat from Ramsgate once a month to Northern Europe which is racking up my log with plenty of sea miles and night hours. Ultimately my goal is to get my YM ticket and get my own boat. I am always after opportunities to crew and I am interested in advice on getting proper experience and getting my Day Skipper ticket.
