After my disappointment at not being disappointed with the boat I saw last week the Broker tried to induce some interest in another boat he had. Details made it look a bit of a ropy old live-aboard past its prime, but still worth trying to find more details.

Using Google I entered the boats name and did find more pictures, and decided not to go further. But a bit lower down on the search engine was a mention of the same boat. A cross channel Sea Cat had stood by her, as she was taking water, until the lifeboat arrived and, according to this story, took off the crew. Obviously she did not sink, but one imagines' a story like that won't help find a punter.

hmm interesting. Iditarod means "clear water". Something your not renown for. Brendan and clear water are not two words that one would use in the same sentence. Apparently form the Shageluk indian for a name of a river, again something you rarely do. Do you think your boats got the wrong name!

I'll stick with the endurance event interpretation I think.

Not sure I want to be associatated with namby pamby clear water.

Did do the river stuff bit though - 2 years on the Thames, but that is definitely not clear water

Funnily enough, I was watching a crappy 'comedy' film with Leslie Neilson on Norwegian TV this afternoon, and they were having a dog sled race and their numbered vests all had Iditarod on them.

The real thing is a great race, but very difficult to spectate given the distance it operates over. Would love to go and see it some time

Re:Thought I\'d try That

shire of meekatharra

Meekatharra is a town with golden prospects.

Situated on the Great Northern Highway, Meekatharra is the largest centre in the Murchison, easily accessible with excellent sealed roads from Perth in the south, Geraldton in the west and further north into the Pilbara.

Major changes are afoot for Meekatharra. A streetscape project is planned to beautify the town and building heritage and tourism pathways are being created to take advantage of the town’s tourism assets.

The Shire has also just appointed its first Community Development Officer to unite the town like never before.

It’s all moving forward at Meekatharra. It really is a town of golden prospects.

Oh fanbleedin' tastic. I'm the only person on here who has a boat with a name that brings forth lesbian sites on the net. Everyone else's boats have deep and meaningful names. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't name it Two Fat Ladies!

Re:Thought I\'d try That

I dunno, google through up this one. Even topical, with a rowing boat.
