Hi All

I've just opened a tin of Brightside paint, in their 'Seattle Grey' colour.

It is VERY white - and has only a hint of grey in it. I was expecting it to be the same colour as the old 'Atlantic Grey'.

Does anyone know if this is the correct shade - ie hardly any greyness - or might it be that the paint has got mixed wrong?

Hmmmmm, just had a look at my International colour card. Seattle Grey 251 does look very grey on that, have you given it a good stir? Also it's probably worth bearing in mind that liquid colours do not very often look the same as when the paint has dried.

By the way, "Atlantic Grey" is still a current colour, but is part of the Toplac range, not the Brightside range. So have you inadvertantly bought the wrong paint?

are you sure it isnt settlement and needs a good stir. Not sure how they do it, but perhaps the grey component is put is as a blob first and the tin then filled with a white base which turns grey after a good stir.

I have stired it a lot - went from white to off-white. Painted up what needed doing, in the hope it would darken down when dry, but it's still very white.

Looks like Atlantic grey and Seattle grey are quite different. Atlantic grey being "dark grey" and Seattle grey being sort of "light grey"
