Depends on how dry your boat is really, dunnit? I would have no hesitation in using ordinary ply in ours - ok, if we sink, it will come to pieces, but that really would be the least of our concerns!

seems quite dry and don't smell none.

I was really wondering whether the general dampness of the environment gets to it too much?

cheers

If the boat does not leak, then there is no reason why the environment should be damper than that of a house on the seafront - and they don't bother using marine ply for furniture, do they?

I was always led to believe that marine ply and WPB used the same glues, just the quality of the timber differed, so no reason why WPB should de-laminate any more than 1088 or whatever. And I think most boats from the 80s onwards aren't constructed with marine ply internally anyway.

I used Wickes bog standard exterior ply to make new washboards. I put on a few coats of exterior wood stain, making sure plenty soaked into the edges and they are absolutely fine two years later, so I'd have no qualms about using it inside!
