Hi everybody I keep getting massive interference when I'm listening to music on my radio or even my portable radio when I plug my phone into charge it.
I have some suppressors now wondering best place for them to be.
on the power leads up to the radio or on the charge cables for the USB for charging the phone.
Thank you in advance.
Colin.

Daverw is right.
These are basically switched mode power supplies; very efficient, but prone to electrical noise especially if you use a cheap one .
First option would be to try a different one, ideally one supplied by the phone manufacturer.
Try moving the radio ariel further away and make sure it's fully plugged in as the outer shield not making a good contact will prevent the shielding effect of the screen.
If you use a splitter foromyou VHF as the source try a separate ariel; likewise if you don't have a splitter try that.
If this does not work, might have to try some ferrite cores on the 12 volt leads or some interference surpressing capacitors. Both these things are a bit of a black art, but it's usually down to trial and error.

Final thought; try two wires straight onto the battery; see if that helps.
Good luck!

One of the aerials is about 3 to 4 m away.
And the other aerial which is a portable radio his about 1 to 2 m away.

Had this trouble with my laptop. I wired in a new, separate supply point for the laptop direct to the battery (with a fuse). I kept the wires as short as possible, without going anywhere near the radio. It worked! I can now listen to the radio while fiddling with the lappy.

If the portable radio picks up the interference it's radiated interference not conducted, so forget the ferrite cores on the wiring.
Try a different charger
It might be the cable from the charger to the phone so try coiling that or covering it in aluminium foils or put some ferirte rings on the charger cable.
The direct connection to the battery is definitely worth a try.
