Interesting winter cover

I went down to the boat yesterday to do a few little jobs and spotted one of the boats there had adopted an ingenious cover.

My fears that it might not withstand any kind of high winds were alleviated when I saw that is was secured with....

shoe laces!!

I have a research paper somewhere on the exceptional tensile strength of burgundy shoe laces in marine environment, should be OK.

wondering why you haven't commented on the windlass cover though.

I thought that by the standard of the cover that was fairly high tech!
