Instigated by the thread "Fairline 43 owner" I want to tell about my issue. I had always sweat water in the std. side of the engine room after rain. Increasing in the last weeks/month. I controlled all the seals, and also had of course a leaking pipe in my view (but no pathologic pump action anytime). But problem was a hole in the GRP unter the teak of a a step. Its the same brand as in the mentioned thread and still PeteMs favorite. So who drills a hole in the area unter the step??? One would expect that the area under the teak is intact, so this was not the primer focus of my search. It was the seal in the front side to the gelcoat, that was not tight. And the water finds its way under and through the wood to the whole... Should we now expand our search after water entry to the teak teak and superstructure of the GRP?
