If you want to see wacky races you need to be in Plymouth Sound at the end of the International Firework Championships.
As soon as the last firework has gone up everyone races back to their respective Marina at the same time in the pitch black.

Not everyone.. We wait half an hour. The downside is you then have people steaming at/past your boat, which is fixed to the sea bed and unable to take any kind of avoiding action.
We put all our lights on...

Ditto but we don't deploy the hook! The jet ski morons are a pain as well.

Not just that ... all appears to be running similar sounding engines .... some running harder than others, which may indicate same manufacturer, but different blocks (V6's vs V8's etc...) that can be the cause for differing running angles ...
