See the entry for 29th July. Several members of the crew that day have now been awarded with the Royal Life Saving Society "RLSS Commonwealth Letter of Commendation". This is the highest award it can make.

Congratulations to all for a job well done.

Yes, thanks. It looks like a good read. I shall read the rest of it later, but I'd love to have been there when the HM coastguard "offered verbal advice" to the two rescued dinghy sailors.

Or the two lads who when returned to the beach and the anxious arms of their waiting parents, promptly received a clip round the ears. More effective than RYA training!
