Cannot find any reference tothe underwater shape…..every boat is a compromiseI know nothing about them - they may be brilliant boats, but boy, it sure did get a beating with the ugly stick!
Not that that should put you off if it fits in other ways. Our Catalac's no oil painting, but she's a great boat.
The voice of reasonTo own that you would have to make so many compromises it wouldn't be true, ugly doesn't even start to describe it and it had better have a good done because you won't be doing much sailing plus you had better start that engine maintenance class.
That looks like the sort of advice you would give Viago when he was asking you if you though marriage was a good ideaTo own that you would have to make so many compromises it wouldn't be true, ugly doesn't even start to describe it and it had better have a good one because you won't be doing much sailing plus you had better start that engine maintenance class.
You started this thread at 10.16. It's not yet lunchtime and you've already talked yourself out of buying. I think that's a record. The voice of reason

Has it not occurred to you that he might just get as much fun winding the forum up every time he posts this carp?Wandsworth & I mean this kindly. How many Years have you been posting "what boat should I buy" threads?
And how many seasons worth of enjoyment could you have had already by now, if you just followed through with, frankly any purchase 5 years ago?
Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he.More like the sermon on the mount
I've long suspected that the user known as Wansworth is just an AI-driven bot that scours the web for boat ads and posts them here. The algorithm needs tweaking, however, as it only ever shows vessels that he could and would buy if he actually existed.Has it not occurred to you that he might just get as much fun winding the forum up every time he posts this carp?
You have to admit. We do fall for it.
Yes,that’s what was initially attractive but without more info on the underwater bit ,cannot see it being anything but a smooth water boat without too much windAnd it's got the high coachroof and hand rails you were looking for. What are you waiting for?

Ok I take onboard your comments, will investigate more.I doubt it. Why would it be?
It's a motor-sailer from a successful and respected builder. it has a big engine, and presumably modest rig and commodious accommodation for its small LOA. It won't be a greyhound, but in your position I wouldn't want that. (And my own motor-sailer sails very well, and has surprised a series of experienced reviewers over the years with its speed and other qualities under sail.) The canopy over the steering position would be a boon in hot sun, rain and wind.
It would be nice to see the underwater hull shape, but I doubt it would be anything sufficiently outrageous to put you off, and you would presumably see that when you inspect the yacht (assuming it's ashore).
Here a small motor-sailer (LM24) showing you don't need smooth water without too much wind.
