Navigators and General have offered to renew my Westerly's cover for about 20% less than GJW, whom I have been with for five years without a claim. Their service has always been helpful.

There hasn't been a thread on this for a while, so has anyone any recent experiences to report?

GJW who had insured the boat with the previous owner for a number of years, wouldnt insure it with me "because it did not have a seperate gas tight locker". Neither would they insure it with Gas damage excluded.
Someone on here sugested Pantaneous - they now have the business !

Interesting. I've been with GJW (and their predecesors) for 18 or so years. Very good service, but they are demanding a 'full survey' prior to next renewal. I will post a more detailed item soon. Just wondering if for commercial reasons they want to shed this area of business.
