Hi People,

I'm in the process of purchasing a 1982 23ft Petrol Motor Cruiser (Volvo V8 200hp)...
Any suggestions on a good broker / insurance company to gain the necessary insurance.

The boat is likely to be used for coastal / Estuary and some inland..

I had the same sort of boat 23ft petrol Searay with mercruiser i used Morgan Marine 01277 224440.
Quoted me £410 and i had only two yrs experience.

alker brothers are often cheapest it seemed to me
one word.. be VERY attentive to exact area of cruising,to trailer locks (if applicable), leaving the boat afloat,waterski ringo, underwater damage. Seems to me these very the big variables in policies, and hence the value of one premium against another.

Always been very pleased with Stephen Knipe at Porthcawl Insurance Brokers www.porthcawl-insurance.co.uk.
Dealt with them for the last 5 or so years and always find them to be the cheapest and easiest to deal with. When I had a claim 3 years ago, they dealt with the whole thing and paid out promptly.

I deal with Nav and General direct, cuts out the broker
and their commission. Get a quote

Good deals to be had on-line and most quotes only take 2 mins,have my 20'Bayliner (only 60hp oboard) insured with Allianz Direct for £240stg.
