A Friend who lives on Rhodes has just bought His first boat.
Jeanneau Cap Camarat 715.

Value about 35 thousand European drinking coupons, inc trailer .

Panataeus (spelling?) have qoted Him 750 Euro for what seems pretty standard cover.
Although the dozy git did tick a box which said,
'200 nm from a safe haven'

Seems a bit steep to me.

Can't see why Greece should be dearer than the UK.
Similar vessel in my Marina through GJW direct is half that according to the owner.

Any Greeks bearing gifted ideas, about the place:)?

Sorry me ol mucker....I'm not a bubble but I can offer a few words of wisdom.

Bluefin which was Bishop Skinner....They seem to tick all the boxes and thankfully I've not had to claim but hearing from peeps on here they seem to be the bees knees...

200nm...what's he planning to get to the Suez in times of strife ?? :)

I pay around £400 for £55k sailboat in Corfu with Bishop Skinner / Bluefin (£550) without discount for No claims. Pants was about 20% more expensive when I got quotes. GJW was about the same but I already have my other boat with BS.

Thanks GrowingLad and Tranona.
Seems some Bishop bashing is needed!
I will pass the info on.

Hey GL, I will be in the Kavala/Athens area the second week in Sep for a few days.
Sorting Me Mate out with His new purchase.

How about a Few Ouzo's?
We can discuss the origin of Your fine Vessel etc etc etc etc etc etc!!!

Hi Kwaka,

By Jove that sounds like a jolly good idea!

We're off on our hols this Friday up tut North of Greece, I'm going to be back in Athens on the 13th of September...are you still going to be about then?

Let me know, if it's possible you are definitely on for a sherbet or two!!

Cheers,
Simon.
