Anyone in Australia got a ferro yacht insured ? Tried a couple of companies but they won't even give 3rd pty cover
I am thinking of buying one but not if i can't insure her
Any advice appreciated

I too am a thinker about buying ferro.

I had hoped that someone would respond by now.

The only thing I can think of is to use an agent/consultant.

Anyone in the world can answer.
 
There seems to be a particular problem in Australia in securing ferro boat insurance. The situation in NZ is less problematic and I have had no problem in the UK with 3rd party cover and have been offered fully comprehensive with no penalty because of the hull type.

One company which seems to get a few recommendations is Edward William Marine (no connection).
If you are still stuck it might be worth contacting the Hartley owners group.
