Guys,

Just had next years bill though at £738 for a Fairline Targa 34 2004, managed to get it down to.....wait for it..... £548! What a change...

Have fun

Paid £528.00 for our T34 last month, which is about the same as I've paid each year for the last 7 years. This includes Nav Gear & other goodies, including Rib & two outboards.

Oh yes, I'm also about to save £100 odd on my Marina fees thanks to that nice Mr. Darling, which might even cover the costs of getting my accounting software adjusted for the VAT change. Good innit?

Nope same Policy exactly! Question to Questor who was yours with, I am looking at Premier and Bishops Skinner? Both the same price.

Thanks

William

St Margarets proved to be useless when I claimed - and then declined to reinsure the next boat.
No probs with Bihsop Skinner tho - I endorse the RYA recommendation.

Have you noted my earlier post where declaring a realistically lower market value resulted in a smaller premium?

That's a bit worrying. As I say, I've not ever made a claim (touching wood), so I have no experience of them.

I've always insured the boat for the price we paid for it - I think they ask for that, don't they?

Never seems to make any difference on a car - seems to be the same premium regardless of value or age.

Definitely will try what you suggest next time round though. If the boat still has any value left in it by then, of course.
