Ran aground. Dont know why I wasnt heading all the electronics, and goodness knows why I wasnt heeding SWMBO..
Anyway, lessoned learned.
Didnt think too much about bent prop til boatyard called. Bit like a scene on a crap tv programme when the policman comes to the door. When the boatyard calls at 6pm, you know it isnt going to be good news. Had to cut them off. No bargain repair at Steel Develeopments then.
Sent insurance co a mail at 5.30pm Sunday. 7.45am Monday reply saying , go ahead. Sent invoices next saturday afternoon. Cheque received Tues am.
Outstanding service, wouldnt you say? I ll be staying with Bishop Skinner...[

Hi gjgm!!

Very glad it all worked out for you, though I'm not at all surprised. I've been with Bishop Skinner ever since they took over the RYA link-up and, like you, had a really fantastic response when I had a major engine problem in the Cape Verdes. Instant decision, cheque within 5 days of claim submission, and truly amazing, calm, support from the UK just when I most needed it!! As you may imagine, I rate Bill Southgate and his colleagues very highly indeed.

Cheers Jerry
