Can anyone tell me where to get insulation for the heating ducts of an Eberspacher heating system? I have heard that it's MUCH more effective when you insulate the ducts. I seem to remember seeing some sort of black foam type insulation that you can split and 'ease' round the ducting.

Many thanks.

I used some of the black foam insulation you mentioned, purchased from B&Q. The problem is that it is not big enough, so after splitting it required two 'halves' to be made from single lengths.

Joined together with the Green sticky tape they sell and it's held up fine. Made quite a lot of diference to the heat coming out of the outlets!

There is another, more tidy, route of getting this foam through a manufacturer (can't remember their name). You can buy it in sheets and form it to size. You'll run into MOQ problems as they are used to supplying industrial quantities...

Hi, I have used the red domestic hot water immersion tank jackets from B&Q, secured round the ducting with large cable ties. This has worked a treat for the main 2 meter runs under the floor.
