The first teak decks were made of a solid material and it was easy to simply rebolt removed fittings back on top.
The new 2G material is much better as it is lighter and does not get so hot etc.
Problem is it is much softer and apparently fittings must be lifted by washers or packing to avoid pressing on the deck material. This sounds quite a challenge if you have a 14 screw traveller. Has anyone experience of doing this or has access to specific instructions as all the websites seem to avoid all this detail.
Many thanks for any feedback
