I'm toying with the idea of installing a electric motor in my boat, but may not be able to put it in the middle of the boat, but offset a little to one side. With the prop not right in front of the rudder, would there a small increase in power, as the force from the prop doesn't hit the rudder? The offset would be something like 100-150mm. Otherwise, I have to cut into a bunk,f'glass. Offset or cut, what is best? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
