I'm about to install an Airmar DTS800 transducer. From the installation instructions it appears you don't have to have it vertical - it can apparently cope with a 22 degree deadrise.
But logic tells me that if it's mounted off vertical, the depth reading will increase.
What am I missing (apart from a brain cell or more...)?
