Inside or outside berth?

A friend, was allocated an 'inside berth' on moorings in Lymington River.
No other information given. There are 2 boats sharing a space between mooring buoys & are moored fore/aft. Would you expect the 'inside berth', be nearest the river bank, or the centre of the river?

I would say it would be the one nearer the riverbank.

Stick your head in the office they are a friendly bunch and will tell you. Some of them can be right confusing, they will happily let you know where. Can also give you info about boats for and aft to make it easier to find your spot....

Being canny, does he want a 'blow on' or a 'blow off' berth?

Tide is less as you near the quay ( I know cos I used to wiggle in and out for years with a quarter prop and an underpowered engine, when it worked...), a stiff SW up the chuff always good for the fenders..
